Collegepaperworld is an established player in the academic writing market. The company has been around since 2010 and is a part of One Freelance Limited. Unlike many respectable writing agencies, it is headquartered in Hong Kong and does not have a strong online presence despite nearly a decade-long operation. In this Collegepaperworld review, I go over customer support, prices, writing quality to help you make an informed decision before you entrust your money to this company.
The list of services in the drop-down menu looked like a list of Google keywords and was no help to me. The order form was more helpful. The full list of paper types includes everything from an admission essay to thesis, including poems, letters, projects, and outlines. Collegepaperworld hires both ENL and ESL writers, and you can see the best on their homepage along with their ratings and stats. However, there is no way to hire a specific writer; you can only specify their category in the order form.
Collegepaperworld prices start at $10 per page for high-school level writing at a 14-day deadline. College students would have to pay $13 or $16 per page, while postgraduates’ prices start at $27. The shorter the deadline is, the higher the rate becomes. My 3-page undergraduate-level essay cost $51 on a 5-day deadline. The price was moderate; however, I still would have appreciated a Collegepaperworld discount code, but I couldn’t find any.
My Collegepaperworld Reddit search was fruitless, and I couldn’t find any reviews on Trustpilot. However, Collegepaperworld rating on SiteJabber was 4.3 stars based on three reviews. One of them cited low grades (55 or 60 out of 100), while two others were dated on the same day back in 2015. After reading them, I felt like they were fake and written by the same person with a poor command of English. Unsurprisingly, all testimonials on the Collegepaperworld website are positive, though I wouldn’t trust them.
At Collegepaperworld, reliable customer support is not always available. I learned about it the hard way when I tried asking questions on Sunday morning. Instead of a chat window, the website offered me to leave a message. That’s when I finally noticed that their support agents are only available Mon 00:00 - Sat 08:00 (UTC). These office hours apply to both live chat and phone calls. I didn’t want to wait a full day to get answers, so I placed the order.
Is Collegepaperworld legit? That was my first question, and I turned to Money-Back Guarantee for answers and found them discouraging. For example, if you place an order for a paper on an 11-day deadline, and it is late, you can only get 7% of your payment back. If you are not happy with the piece, provide solid proof of its inferiority within 14 days. The company will refund you in full if you upload your version of the paper. Otherwise, prepare for lengthy negotiations and being ignored.
I also do not recommend you use their free plagiarism checker. It found no plagiarism in a text I copied from one of the samples on the homepage when it should have been 100% plagiarised.
At least, the order process was straightforward. As I didn’t have an account, I had to provide contact and profile information. Otherwise, the order form was standard. There were fields for paper type, academic level, discipline, and title. I set the deadline at five days, chose the correct number of pages, specified the citation style. There was an option to upload files for the writer and add charts or PowerPoint slides to the order, but I didn’t need any.
Is Collegepaperworld good? I wish I could say it was. In reality, the essay I got was clearly written by a non-native English speaker. Some phrases were outright weird, likely a result of direct translation. The paper itself lacked substance and analysis. The writer stated an opinion and did not support it with enough evidence. I would have never submitted anything like this to my college professor.
There are three writer categories. Advanced writers add 25% to the order total while hiring an ENL writer increases the basic price by 30%. If you want to see the writer’s samples before they get to work on your paper, you must pay $5, the copies of the sources will add $14.95 to the order total. Smart paper option (+20%) means your paper will come with comments and prompts for your future writing.
Is Collegepaperworld scam? No, but it isn’t a reliable writing company either. I won’t be coming back for more papers, and I would not recommend this website to anyone. Here’s a recap of my findings:
